The Recent Journey: Conferences, Product Development, and the Future

October 10, 2023

As we journey through the dynamic world that is inventing, showcasing and deploying revolutionary technology to facilitate an unprecedented level of subsurface visualisation of critical assets, we’ve taken a moment to reflect and share our recent conference adventures.

CSIRO Digital Mine Summit (August)

In August, at the CSIRO Digital Mine Summit in Perth, we proudly sponsored an event that perfectly aligned with our mission to drive optimization and innovation in the mining sector. With core pillars of our Overwatch product being optimization and innovation, this collaboration was a natural fit. Our team greeted attendees and shared insights about the future of subsurface monitoring for tailings storage facilities. The shiny new probe on display underscored our commitment to innovation and safety in the mining industry and the digital interface was a talking point amidst the mining execs in attendance.

WA Mining Conference (October)

Our Western Australia team showcased our pioneering product at the Perth Mining Conference’s Innovation Zone, immediately following an operational installation. The Overwatch subsurface probe, under the expert guidance of Gus and David, took center stage with attendees able to learn about our industry-leading TSF monitoring tool and discuss its significant potential for future impact on the industry. Our friendly team was there to answer questions and provide insights, making it a valuable experience for both seasoned experts and newcomers to subsurface monitoring.

iMarc 2023 (November)

The International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC) in Sydney was a fantastic event. Together with our friends and partners from The GBG Group, the team showcased Overwatch’s ability to support miners in achieving GISTM compliance and reducing asset monitoring OpEx. IMARC was a fantastic opportunity to connect with industry leaders, share insights, and collectively work towards a safer and more compliant future in subsurface monitoring.

Aaron Taking the U.S. by Storm

Our Director of Geoscience, Aaron Tomkins, recently embarked on an exciting journey across the Pacific to the United States. In the few months since he’s been across the pond, Aaron’s attended the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG)’s IMAGE23 in Texas (August), the Association of State Dam Safety Officials (ASDSO) Dam Safety 2023 in California (September) and is now at the Tailings and Mine Waste Conference in Vancouver (November), where he continues to champion our subsurface monitoring technology.

Looking Ahead: Accelerating Implementation and Product Installations

Reflecting on our recent conferences and exhibitions, we’re excited to be launching into accelerating the implementation of our ground-breaking solution through product installations.

Stay tuned for more updates as we make strides in subsurface monitoring, working together with industry partners to drive positive change and ensure a safer, more sustainable future for all in critical infrastructure and tailings storage facility management!
